2025 GMC Yukon XL AT4
Brands: ReadyLift, Yukon Gear & Axle
Tyler came to us wanting a 3 inch lift on his 2025 Yukon XL AT4 without giving up how it rides, and he wanted the look of bigger wheels and tires to go with it. We looked at a few wheel options together early on, but he ended up finding his own 22s and 285/55R22 tires. That left us with the lift, the mounting and balancing, and getting it all to fit.
We steered him to ReadyLift because it was the best fit for keeping the ride quality and getting the stance he was after. We went with the version made for trucks with Magnetic Ride Control, so the factory ride control keeps working after the lift. The kit also comes with its own upper control arms. On GM full-size SUVs at 3 inches that's what we use, because it keeps the front end angles right at that height.
Tyler asked early on whether his 22s and 285s would work with the lift. We told him they would, with minor trimming. We also planned to add a little extra room in the wheel wells so the bigger tires fit right. His tire pressure sensors were moved over to the new wheels as part of the mount and balance.
The work was done at our Hendersonville shop, and Tyler picked it up there with the lift, the 22s and the 285s on it. If you've got a Yukon, Tahoe or Suburban you're thinking about lifting, bring it by either our Hendersonville or Clarksville shop and we'll talk through what size will fit.
